Borrowdale*.

A pleasant sunny morning for a walk above and into Borrowdale.  The Friends Of The Lake District are now helping the valley and fellsides to recover from decades of poor land management.  10000 trees have been planted to augment the scraps to relict woodland and wood pasture and in late spring and summer the meadows are a delight.  A model for so many valleys in our county.
