Fig tree in the fall

I've been keeping up with the raking of the fig leaves and there were a couple of days when very few fell. Many came down in the past couple of days, too wet to rake them, but there was a break in the rain this morning so I raked a huge pile of them and hauled them out to the compost. Not too many left. Amazing how many figs were still on the tree and never ripened, unfortunately.
Edit: So good to look out at a green field instead of a brown one that lasted so long during the drought. Thanks to Dunnie for reminding me to include that.  :-)
