Seeded

Last night I tackled the quince. As I chopped the up for boiling my wife mentioned removing the seeds before boiling. As they are prolific in number I took the easy way out and added them to the pot.

The strained juice will be used to make jelly. The pulp can go to making membrillo- a lovely paste which goes well with cheese.

It is at this point I remember why it is better to remove the seeds as they don’t go into the membrillo. Now, where are the tweezers?

A lovely sunny still autumnal day with, after church, a very leisurely, very long late lunch with neighbours. No sign of the aurora tonight though.
