Inferno

A rather quiet day catching up on matters domestic, having been away from home for a few days. It rained again,a lot! I visited my Mother, and I helped her write a short note to her ailing sister. She isn't  keen to phone her because she doesn't know what to say, but was comfortable  with sending  a card. The care home residents have a treat tonight because from their upstairs lounge/ balcony they will have a grandstand view of the Winchester Fireworks display, which is held very nearby. The staff are laying on hot chocolate for them too.
My blip is of Achimenes "Inferno"  which seems appropriate for bonfire night, but which I really chose  because my plants originate from a few tubers my Aunt gave me from her plant, some years ago. The plants are  very strong, growing slowly through the summer, and are always late flowering. They make a colourful autumn display on my window ledge.
