Vulcan

It's been a busy and stressful week this week, hence a lack of blips. I don't unwind in a constructive way after a bad days work - I just sit and play on Skyrim in an attempt to block out the days endeavours. We have a real staffing crisis at our place which has shown few signs of being remedied. I'm currently operating with three and a half bodies less than I was six months ago, and by next Friday that becomes four and a half. I have another member of staff who is due to move to another branch but is unable to do so until we replace him.....

So in essence after all that going on I like to come home and go and battle a few creatures on the PS3, and my current game of choice is Skyrim. For the record it's ace.

In other news I saw the Vulcan today. I'd had a typically busy morning at work and left an hour or so late. No sooner had I sat down at home than Mum called to remind me this beautiful piece of kit was doing a quick flypast at Wickenby Wings and Wheels show. I didn't get there quite as rapidly as I'd like, hence this distance shot. I was happy with the coincidence planning that saw me include the iconic Belmont Television mast, although the mast itself does make me feel a bit odd when I drive past it (by odd I mean it gives me the heebee jeebees. I've always had this odd sensation at the bottom of my spine when confronted with massive structures or towers in the middle of fields. Power Stations do the same).

So here is the Vulcan. It's my Dads lifelong ambition to be flown around in one, but I sadly doubt that he will ever get to. What he will get to do tomorrow though is accompany me and his lovely wife Mo to a meal at the excellent Kings Head in Tealby. We're doing a little ramble along the top of the Wolds before going for some fine grub afterwards. That's got to be better than going in a Vulcan.
