today we are in the memorial gardens which is between the road and the thames and a car park. The carving is the Dove of peace which is found on the side of the methodist church overlooking the gardens. It commemorates peace and it is very peaceful here. one of the entrances to the gardens has an stainless steel archway of a swan in flight. The bottom of the columns has impression pressed into them of the history of staines. That blip will be for another day.

Turned out to be a windy wet day after a promising start. Such a shame as today Egham celebrate the signing of the Magna Carta. The high street was full of various stalls withe restaurants offering food outside their stores on tables.
