In Need of .......?

Deffo needs something to brighten up this pot. But what? A fuchsia perhaps? I don't know. An ideas out there please? so location is in the micro front garden, relatively sheltered corner (apart form the fact that the cottage is on the top of the hill and on the corner, so the wind whips around), about 500 yards from the sea (which, on a good day, i can see form the bathroom window). I need something that once planted is pretty much self sufficient and not needy!
