Photographic Equipment

Has anyone else noted the increasing use of this piece of equipment by photographers? I have seen it in use on several occasions - typically events like Chinese New Year, the Gay Pride parade and similar.  It is lightweight, it folds up and, with a suitable strap attached, it can easily be carried over the shoulder.  A lot more practical than carrying a set of steps around, which so many event photographers used to do.  These steps are available in different heights, so can offer a decent elevated viewpoint in a crowded situation.

I haven't used this one in that way.  It is simply used to reach the top cupboards in the kitchen.
