In Search of Birds

Today I took a trip out to RSPB Pulborough Brooks in the hope of grabbing some interesting bird shots, especially waders, geese and ducks as they begin to migrate into the wetlands.  I had a lovely day walking round the reserve, but birds were few and far between. The main reason was that most of the wetlands, which form part of the River Arun flood plains, were flooded so the birds had a much wider area to roam and keep out of sight of us mere mortals!  A couple of the hides were also closed for the same reason.

I did manage to catch this shot of the red kite, and it was a good day for walking.
