Westgate

This evening  we met M, a former colleague of mine, and his brother, J, for a meal and a catch up at the  Cote Brasserie. Three hours flew past! 
This is a view of Westgate, the fortified medieval gateway at the top of Winchester High Street, (close to the  restaurant)which I think looks particularly dramatic, when illuminated  at night. Until 65 years  ago two way traffic used to pass through  the gate! Now the road is a one way route and traffic has to go around  the gate.
