Eft

I am still learning. A juvenile newt is called eft. In Dutch there is no word for either. Probably we just call them salamander?
This little animal stood on the path around our house. Although black was not the best colour, I was happy not to step on it. But at 1am the animals in our garden don't expect any humans (silly them, it is my time to go to bed and let Caspar empty his bladder).
