Kilmichael Gathering

It was torrential rain for most of the day here which is difficult for event organisers. We went to the gathering which is mostly games and races around a horse theme, it was much quieter than it should have been. I think it is called "a day at the races"

My littlest tried out the walking on water and ran a flat race but tripped over his horse so not best pleased. The piper is the same one you may have seen on the tv series "Downton Abby" last year or at Inveraray as he is the resident piper and a very good one at that. The Eagle owl is from the birds of prey exhibition, he is called Bobo and I liked his face.

Now the sun has come out but the midges are very bad so we cannot go outside to do all the jobs in the garden. Typical summer in Argyll!
