Nasty November
Contrary to what TS Eliot proclaims, for some of us, November, not April, is the cruelest month!
Another dark and rainy November day - so dark that the garden lights came on mid-afternoon!
My sister has come to visit and drove for 5 hours through all that cold and rain to get here..We got off easy as the rain didn't start here until later in the day...
Despite the weather, it was Maggie's big day.(extra) We were off to the vet this afternoon to get her arthritis shot! We both hope that a quick jab will perk her up as it has in the past...She has been acting as if she is under the weather lately and that always worries me... She hesitates to get up into her chair or onto the sofa; she sits and thinks about it first. Arthritic pain could be the problem...Fingers crossed that it is sore joints and not something worse, and that, with the meds, she will soon be jumping, leaping and dashing about again ...On the other hand, perhaps she is just falling into those November doldrums like so many of us, what with the early darkness, the cold, the cloudy days, and the rain...? Something a little sunshine would cure? We shall see..
.
Maybe the sun will come out tomorrow.....?
