Southwell Minster Environmental Action Group Meeting & XR
The end of the world featured in last Sundays service and in my first attendance this afternoon at a meeting of the above group; a group closely associated with The Minster and the driving force of The Minsters Eco work. It was held here - another first for me, going inside.

One item discussed was COP28 action. They discussed their prayer sessions and information boards to be set up in The Minster (which I'll be helping with). I shared what XR Newark & Sherwood were planning to much warm praise.

They had shared the COP26 (I think) " A joint message for the protection of creation"  from The Pope, The Archbishop of Canterbury and The Ecumenical Patriach (for other Christian churches).

I really liked their pivotal bible extract (Dt 30:19)

"Choose life so that you and your children might live"

XR Dead Drop  
I dropped off some Mark Spencer face masks at a shop in Newark, so that other XR members could pick them up as and when for another planned action following last nights meeting at the Friends Meeting House. Coincidentally a fabulous prayer for the planet was shared by a member. Aptly the historic building of the shop had an English Civil War plague on it's outside wall.
