Coiled Pattern

There was something about this place mat that caught my attention. We were about to have dinner at Rose's before heading on to Film Studio. The photo was better with both the mat and that wine glass, than it was with just the mat.

The film was "Lost Illusions", the latest film version of Balzac's French classic. I really enjoyed it, and I'm sure I'd have enjoyed it even more had I spoken enough French to not need the (Swedish) sub-titles. At times it seemed like a course in speed reading!
