Gently down the stream

And still they fly

I find it incredible that a week and a half into November we're still seeing dragonflies and butterflies.  I found two common darters down by the pond in the reserve this morning (of which this is one), also a peacock butterfly and a red admiral.  The two young deer were there as well and I bumped into my lovely butterfly and birding friend, S, who I haven't seen for ages.  She's an incredible wildlife spotter, but while we talked it was me who saw the sun-streaked kingfisher shooting down the river.  What fun!

Nothing else to report.  Hope your day's been a good one  xx
