Quick blip!

Taken this morning at 11:30am in the garden.
It is now 17:00hr and soon be time for our dinner,
We went to see Bobbie at her Residential Care Home for dementia, after lunch.
For the first time she did not recognise us immediately and just held my hand and said “ You look young” .
She was in the lounge with the other residents and they were being treated to a Karaoke session with the staff.
Great to see her when we got there and stood just inside the doorway watching her jigging up and down in her chair and trying to sing some of the words of the songs she recognised.
We sat with her and she did know who we both were after a few minutes,
The staff were brilliant and some of the residents got up to dance with them.
A carer made us a drink each when the others were having their usual mid-afternoon drinks and a piece of cake or a cookie.
We’ve not long been back home, so I’ll post this now, before our meal,
I’ve put the fire on, in the lounge and it feels nice and cosy,
I’ll light some candles after tea.
Update on the squirrel. He hasn’t yet been able to get at the fat balls, no matter how many convoluted attempts he made…….there’s always time, it is fun to watch!
