From tree to pond

These lovely acer leaves have fallen straight from the tree on to the surface of the water in the wee Pollok pond without even starting to wither.

A fine, sunny morning but we could do with a little wind and frost to firm up the ground and dry the rather soggy leaves which are piling up on pavements. The councils are working hard to clear the leafy carpets but at the moment it's a never ending task.
