Berried Alive!

On a  very pleasing walk this morning I was impressed with the sheer volume of berries in this hedgerow.

A great mix too, with sloes, damson, elder, hawthorn and blackthorn. 

I couldn't resist a picture to capture the gorgeous deep reds and copious amounts of fruit, just waiting to be gobbled by hungry birds. 

I had the best of the day, it soon turned wet and cold and the rain came in with a vengeance. 

So once more we are ensconcened in front of the fire and watching TV. 

The excitement knows no bounds!
