A quiet day.  Pottering and a couple of dog walks.  Hence the emergency blip.

Mr saw a private eye consultant at 5.20pm.  The NHS sent him a meagre report with no information about a future appointment.  As time is of the essence he sought private help.  Obviously the consultant also works for the NHS.  And under usual circumstances a swift NHS appointment was preferable but just not forthcoming.

Diagnosis is a macular hole which will require an operation and recovery time.  The consultant will see Mr at the NHS hospital for the operation.   I'm off to research this condition.
