Westonbirt Sunshine
Janet's almost over the head cold I lovingly handed her the other week, but we did feel it was not good to head out for a pub lunch with family, who wouldn't thank us if we passed it along. We did feel up to a bit of fresh air though, and so headed out to Westonbirt Arboretum.
The low autumnal sunlight threw deep shadows and high contrast colours through the foliage, and especially in the Acer plantation the colours were almost unbelievably strong. I have adjusted this shot to counter the impact of the highlights metering, but the colours are pretty much as seen.
I came away with far too many "keeper" shots, but I liked this one in particular which focuses tightly onto the one backlit maple leaf.
