St. Edward St. Park

Went down to St. Edward state park to check it out and had a nice walk around. They have quite a bit of property that goes all the way down to Lake Washington. Lots of trails either to walk or ride a bike.

The building was built around 1930. Bishop O'Dea of the Seattle Catholic Diocese purchased the property with his own personal inheritance and donated it to the diocese for use as a seminary. It was used as a boy's school and seminary.
In 1977 because of declining enrollment 316 acres were sold to the state of WA.for use as a park.
I told my daughter about going there, and she says, Oh, yes, I've been there lots of times!! And I asked myself " and she never told me about it?"
