Starting early...
Such a tough choice for today's blip... This wee boy won though - not only is he concentrating so hard on spraying but he also has the best hoodie!
As mentioned yesterday, this was Back to Back Dumfries - on Guid Nychburris day - and the rain stayed off until the paint was running out & the Stovies, their Back to Back volunteers and artists were rather frozen. The kids (and the big kids) loved it. Yes, I did spray paint on the pavement of Dumfries - I do like a bit of graffiti art & stencils. It wasn't just about fun though - the thick blue line in the picture represents the River Nith - and this is about creating a new Dumfries - read more about the Stove.
Amongst other things, I watched the beautifully turned out riders & their horses clip clopping past my window into Dumfries for Riding the Marches (from way before 7.30am...), and the big parade - those poor, wet, cold people on the floats in skimpy costumes still managed smiles & waves - I almost believed they were having fun.
