Union Canal

It was such a lovely autumn day - and my hip was behaving itself - that after my podiatrist visit I went for a walk along part of the Union Canal.

It is about 2 miles from the centre of the city and from its height you can get great views of the castle and, in this instance, Arthur’s Seat.

No one rowing or on boats today but lots of walkers and quite a few cyclists. Also a family of swans and cygnets munching the vegetation at the sides. Very peaceful.
