Adventures in Wonderland

An hour in the company of  Paul Charles, the author Adventures in Wonderland (and some crime books). A music agent of note from Northern Ireland, he's had some great adventures indeed, and is a gifted raconteur. Steve and I attended this event as part of the Book Festival.

S and I had our lesson this morning, then some snacks, then lunch, then S asked me where I was going next, and I said I was meeting V outside the Trinity Rooms. He said he wanted to go there to meet her too, and could we have some more lunch? Then we all had lunch/pudding/both, and went to town together.

Mooched around the shops, I bought a hoodie in Oxfam. Went to Home Bargains because S wanted us to go for a drink but he doesn't drink alcohol nor does he like coffee. He bought an Energy Drink. V and I ordered drinks and went upstairs with him, then the waitress came up with our drinks and told him off for drinking a can. Poo. I get it, but he's kind of skint. One cannot make exceptions, however....

Then S went to the gym, and V and I went to a couple more shops to buy a New Home card because my mother has finally moved into a care home. Today. It is time, but it's been a long road, though I have not been personally involved in the preparations. She can no longer take care of herself (she has vascular dementia and complex health needs) and is not safe to be left on her own.

Went home, cooked supper for Steve, Sat down to start watching yet another Leaving-a-Cult documentary, before suddelyn realizing, Yikes! Were going out tonight!  We had to scrape the car windscreen because it was already freezing over.

All worth it, all good.
