50 glorious years

Freckleton Club Day has been in it's current format for 50 glorious years today. The first was also on 16th June.

In various guises it has been held for well over 150 years but as I said, this is the 50th since the Club Day Sports Committee was formed.

A parade through the village this morning has been followed by the children's sports this afternoon.

This evening has been one of high drama and comedy. But enough of what was on telly, we have had the adult sports this evening.

There was top class competition in such events as welly throwing, pillow fighting on a slippery pole and egg catching. It has all been as hilarious as you are probably imagining.
