Cheese Jokes

Woke up to realise my alarm was set to weekdays only, and that I had 15 minutes to sort myself out and go collect J. Arrived a little late and scuppered by temporary traffic lights at the point of collection. Set off up the A9 and made good time on quiet roads.

Made it to the airport on time, but realised that although arja's flight had left, it wasn't going to land due to mist. After some false hope of rearranged flights to Inverness, A then had to fly to Aberdeen, and get a train to us in Forres. Quite an epic and unexpected journey. I really admired and appreciated her determination to be with us. We collected her at 10pm, 10.5 hours later than planned, but she made it!

Took an opportunistic trip to Connage to stock up on cheese, then back to wait in Inverness until we had more info. Impromptu pizza with work colleague and visit to second hand bookshop + food shopping helped fill the time.
