Birdsong

Saw the touring production of the play tonight. Well acted. Shame the audience wasn't particularly large. But it did mean we got cheap tickets. Arthur Bostrum (the undercover British agent who masqueraded as a gendarme in Allo Allo) played Berard - a pompous Frenchman. Found it disconcerting him speaking English in a French accent. Kept expecting him to break into his mangled French - 'Gid Moaning' amongst many others.
These were in a display in the foyer showing some war memorabilia.
