Brownsea Island

Went on a trip to Brownsea organised by the Dorset Wildlife Trust and we had such a great day. The weather was perfect and the autumn colours very special. We saw 12 red squirrels which we were delighted by - because there are very few visitors during this time of year, and fewer leaves to hide behind. At the bird lagoon we saw loads of avocets, a spoon bill and a kingfisher along side loads of the more common birds. Also it was so good just wandering and enjoying the peace of nature.
