Sixfields parkrun and a beautiful drive Peak Distr
Fab 2 lap parkrun which included running through a working farm, mostly tarmac paths and ideal weather, Apart from some congestion at the start conditions were ideal so I ran well.
A moving Remembrance silence followed by spontanious applause and then, 'Ready, steady, parkrun!' and we were off, I soon fell into place and was inspired by a lovely lady, running infront of me but at my pace. I ran hard to keep up and was delighted with a fast sub 31 minute time. Even better was that when I completed the run another lady approached me to say 'thank you', for motivating her in the same way. She achieved a PB and was grateful to me for helping her to achieve this. Also when chatting we realised that her first parkrun was Maldon Prom parkrun, my home parkrun. I felt proud as I am running really well at the moment, and can help others.
Weather was perfect for the rest of the journey and we continued to our holiday lodge.
