My father and my husband

Veterans Day 2023. My father trained at Fort Carson in a mule packer unit. They trained in the Rockies and thought they would be sent to Europe. They ended up in New Guinea. My husband served in Viet Nam and here he was in Cam Ranh Bay. Five of my father’s brothers also served in Europe and the Pacific. We offer thanks for them all coming home and offer our remembrances for all who did not.
