From the garden

The forecast for today had called for overcast skies, so I thought it would be a good day to make the Christmas cake. The dried fruit had been soaking in brandy over night. The weather however was not aware of the forecast, and it was actually yet another fine sunny day! I took my blip from our garden in the morning light, knowing I might not get anything later.
I had thought of going for a swim once the cake was in the oven, but unfortunately I was suffering from a sinus headache and congestion, so I stayed in and had a quiet afternoon instead. Roger, ever the glutton for punishment, had been getting up leaves in the morning, and then went for a cycle ride in the afternoon!
