We will remember them

It’s the first time for years that we haven’t been to the laying of the wreaths at the parish church cenotaph. We did the 2 minutes silence on the TV. The poppies this year were plastic ones but easier to pin on than the paper ones.  I was lucky to get my Dad back after 6 years at sea on an oil tanker. All the line was sunk except his ship and one other.
