Remembrance Sunday

Time to stand still
while the last post sounds, poignant, eerie
in the silence
time to remember
past a century ago
when the fields were red
red with death, soldiers
gave their time for us, for our
tomorrow, yet
there are still wars, sad
times for many people, worlds
apart from peacetime

Stand still and remember.
