Trapped!

A very cold and frosty morning but both the cold and the frost were accompanied by some wonderful autumnal sunshine.

I have Keta staying for a few days so it was an early start as we headed out for a before breakfast trot around the block. Spotted this maple leaf trapped among some hawthorn branches. The sunlight makes the leaf look almost transparent.
The frosty edging was a real bonus.

Half past three and the sun has disappeared for today. The forecast for today was for drizzle and a gentle breeze ….. somebody it wrong!
