Today's the day ......................... to remember

A short, but poignant ceremony today at the War Memorial in the village of Ringford.  

The two minutes silence was observed, followed by a lament on the bagpipes.  Three wreaths were laid and the names of those who died in both World Wars and who were commemorated on the memorial, were read out.  

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
