Beck clearing

As part of our exceptionally local flood management plan every so often I wander out of the hole in the wall and wade into the beck to move rocks and, especially at this time of the year, fallen branches, that form little dams. I've no real idea if it helps move the water away from our properties in any significantly quicker way, but I find it immensely satisfying for some reason, especially with a flask of coffee on a day like today*

This afternoon some personal cpd with Samaritans, very informative and very well delivered.
