Remembrance

Today being Remembrance Sunday Mum's care home had a small wreath laying ceremony which I attended with mum. The wreath was placed in the little garden by a resident and his wife, both of whom are war veterans and there was a very accomplished piper from the High School. 
It was all very moving especially being surrounded by people who lived through it [ although even Mum as one of the oldest in home was a teenager for most of WW2].
A bit of an excess of emotion this weekend I must admit.
