Remembrance Sunday

We watched Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph, on TV. we never miss it. When I was working I would often be on shift for it but always tried to observe the silence and you'd think a busy ward might usually be noisy, but the patients also liked to watch and observe so unless there was something urgent happening, we often got to show our respect.
I haven't been out of the house today except to nip to talk to Terry in the garage. Did some cleaning up downstairs.
The forecast for tomorrow is dire and I'm supposed to be going to Mum's late morning. However, if it's bad I will ring her and rearrange.
I have a telephone call due tomorrow afternoon from the Lung Team re the NHS targeted lung checks. Terry already had his done and also the scan.
Terry rang the hospital on Friday to see how long before he gets his hip replacement (he was expecting it to be done this month but was told it won't be till early next year. This was a severe blow as he has been in agony for ages. He cannot take morphine or morphine derivatives as he has a bad reaction to it and he cannot take ibuprofen as it brought him out in a rash. He cannot take the new painkiller they gave him to try as it makes him hallucinate! That was off one dose! He is stuck with severe and constant pain. The hospital has added him to their cancellation list so if there is a cancellation he may get lucky, but it's not likely. I do wish he could get it done this year.
