Glorious weather
Southern Australian winters are quite different to those experienced in much of the Northern Hemisphere. The temperatures are quite mild, the grass is green and verdant, and when you get a bright sunshiny day like today, it is absolutely the best place to be.
We headed up to the Laratinga Wetlands at Mt. Barker, and there were many people walking dogs, riding bikes, running and generally enjoying the glorious weather.
Even though I got stuck with the Rower's very clunky and extraordinarily heavy 200 mm lens, I used it to great effect to get this lovely little Australasian Spotted Crake.
