Old Martindale

Market day to-day in Keswick so I had a quick look around the stalls then back to the apartment to collect Dad and my camera.
A lovely drive through the very green countryside- the sun decided to show a bit which makes all the difference- we ended up at Pooley bridge for lunch, very pretty.
Onward to Martindale then to see the old Martindale Church- no electricity or heating so only a few services a year but a very simple, very old building out in the wilds.
Dad is not a religious man but always feels a sense of peace here so we try and visit on our annual holiday.
