Tonight was R’n’B night at The Rock. It was such a blast. Playing with Soul Kitchen Dance Party and a crowd that was totally up for it, we played a wide range of R’n’B and hip-hop, from 80s, 90s, 2000s, 60s and 70s. Had a request for Aretha Franklin so I dropped this baby down. I was surprised at the response for The Whispers, Luther Vandross, Change and a whole lot of 80s R’n’B.

Strangely, didn’t play any recent hip-hop/R’n’B from the last few years, somehow it doesn’t have the same swing and pep. Good times and looking forward to the next one.
