Windy Day

It has been a wildly windy day - Storm Debi, apparently. We thought we’d embrace it with a walk along by the sea at Prinsted. It’s not the open sea but water within the Chichester Harbour area of coastline so more protected. Nonetheless the wind was blowing hard as we walked along the water’s edge and we had to cling on to our hats and dodge the spray of waves breaking over the sea defences. It was safe but a little damp. We returned via a very muddy but more inland route.

This afternoon has been spent inside reading and doing a few other little tasks, like ordering a bundle of flower seeds for the allotment - something to look forward to enjoying.

Gratefuls:
- To experience the invigorating forces of nature as we walked by the sea.
- The shelter of a hawthorn hedge with branches covered in brightly coloured lichen and deep red berries.
- Freshly baked tea loaf with a cup of tea at home this afternoon.
