Mercat de la Boqueria

This food market in Barcelona is the oldest in Spain and apparently it’s been voted the best market in the world several times. Unfortunately it seemed a bit touristy and overpriced when we visited this afternoon. We got the bus from Valencia (helpful Irish driver) and arrived in Barcelona at about 4pm. Very exciting to be back in Barca!
Our hotel is right next to the market and no 3 son lives about 5 minutes away (Barrio Gotico) so we thought it a good place to check out for dinner. We can’t meet him until about 9pm as he teaches English to primary school kids from Monday to Thursday after his Uni classes. We’ll be starving by then as we’re used to eating at about 7.30pm! Thought it best to blip before our meal.
