Boiling and baking

I started to doubt my choice of cake for our work bake off (one person a week, the donations going to the charity of the winner'choice) and so I've ended up with two tonight; my original containing gluten, eggs and nuts, and a duller back-up that is at least gluten free so it will appeal to a couple more people.

I can't take two so I'll just have to decide in the morning I think. The whole house smells amazing as both contain citrus fruits.

In other news it rained, the streets ran with water and filled with giant puddles (to soak pedestrians further), and I had a quick but dry visit to the nurse.
