Paramoudra - rock formation!

It was the Geology Meeting this evening and this was the topic!! They are strange structures made like sponges which have been formed in the sediments of Cretaceous seas many years ago!
They are made by silica forming round a sponge - and West Runton beach in Norfolk is one place where they can be found. We hope to make an expedition there one day to see them!!
