Blooming azalea

In previous years this azalea has had the occasional isolated bloom at this time of year, saving its best look for springtime when it is also in leaf. This year, it is in full bloom just now yet has dropped its leaves as it normally does in the autumn. I wonder what will happen next?
The lovely weather of the past few days is now a memory and grey sky and rain was quite plentiful. It wasn’t just Bertie who was a wee bit drookit after his walks today.
