I’ve got to get this pink bandage off

before bedtime. Portia had an operation today to remove bad teeth. She must have had awful toothache.  I took her in at 8am and picked her up at 7pm:(
They had to do tests of her heart and kidney function before giving her an anaesthetic.  Then they had problems getting a line into a vein - they tried both front legs, a back leg, and eventually gave her methadone and put it in her neck:-(
After the operation they monitored her for a few hours to make sure she was recovered, her blood pressure was up again, and she could eat. I think the care by the vets was excellent.  But what a lot for her to go through.  She got home, demanded more food, got the pink bandage off, and sat on my lap for the rest of the evening. She looks almost back to being herself, though her little body has been through a lot. So relieved that she is cheerful at least. She purred like an engine when she got home and had a cuddle.
