Ashness Bridge

It was a damp and gloomy day.  I had heard the Borrowdale Valley road had been closed, but this was after I had travelled along it.  There were flooded areas on the road, but all were passable.  Overnight rain had filled rivers and lakes were higher.  I was expecting fewer leaves on the trees, but as you can see the colourful leaves are still hanging on.  You can't see Skiddaw today as the cloud was so low and the small part Derwentwater you can see was also grey.
