For the family

Watching the magpies and the rain

Amber is not normally allowed on the bed and doesn’t go on to it, but today she was totally bored having been restricted to the house due to rain. I found her lying there gazing out of the window.

It was a boring day waiting for the groundwork chap to arrive. Well the long and short of it is that he didn’t turn up. Numerous emails and calls were exchanged.

In a pause between showers late afternoon we took Amber for a walk and on the way back our doorbell registered on our phones. I hurried round the corner and waved down the driver of a van pulling away from the house.

After initial confusion we realised that I wasn’t expecting him to be delivering food for Amber, but to look at the drain!! Wrong!!!

This is a new system as we cannot buy the big bags from the pet shop any more, unless we go in and order them , then go back to collect. It’s easier to order on line.

A positive is that I have delivered the packages for the new baby and little girl next door. Mum was delighted.

I’ve also done a tidy up of my material stash, planning how it will be stored in the newly arranged sewing room when we get to that stage.
